Relish is a Liverpool born and Liverpool based catering and events company, using quality, premium ingredients from local suppliers such as Love Lane Brewery, Sugar and Lime and French Corner. Passionate about cooking from scratch, using the best quality seasonal ingredients and using eco-friendly products, Relish believe in supporting local businesses, hiring local staff and investing in the local economy. Their mission? To serve exceptional food in a warm, welcoming and distinctly personal way.
Run by Chris Foulkes and Kiara Mako, what started out in 2010 as an independent Café Bar in South Liverpool has since grown on the back of a stellar reputation for delivering the highest of standards to become two permanent state of the art kitchen sites in Liverpool, with The Royal Liver Building set to be the third. With The Atrium set to open to the general public for the first time in the Royal Liver Buildings history, Relish will be based on-site with a permanent presence in the form of The AtriumCafé Bar and a dedicated dark kitchen- perfectly situated to deliver an enhanced service to The Venue’s event clients, offering onsite meetings and private tastings.
Having successfully delivered exceptional events for prominent Liverpool event spaces such as Hinterlands, Liverpool Town Hall and the M&S Bank Arena, The Venue are excitedly looking forward to bringing Relish’s experience and innovative approach to catering to our events. Their mission, company ethos and standing in the local community make Relish the perfect fit for Royal Liver Building, The Venue, matching our passion for Liverpool and of course, providing world-class events.

About Chris and Kiara
The driving force of the company, Chris’s vision is to become the number one food and events business in Merseyside and beyond. As MD Chris Foulkes has an impressive reputation and knowledge of the food industry gained over his years in the business. He has grown Relish from its original sandwich shop into being capable of providing the catering for high end and large scale events including the North’s biggest vegan event, BBC, Everton and Audi, Lush and the Royal Liver Building. Chris also has an impressive CV in his leisure time too with appointment in 2019 as Director of the trading Board at Everyman Theatre Liverpool, and in 2019 took part in a climb of Kilimanjaro in Kenya to raise money for an Alzheimer’s Charity, in a team that included Creative Director Kiara!
Kiara won a scholarship from Philips Poland for her work in design, studied internationally and graduated in design and visual communication in the UK. She has been exhibited in Poland and in the UK including the OXO Gallery, London. As the part owner and creative director for the Relish Group, Kiara comes with an impressive CV. Working with brands like LiverpoolONE and Vitaflo (part of Nestle), JD, Tessuti, Mitchel & Ness and the Southport Flower Show. And finally, alongside Chris, climbed Mt Kilimanjaro to raise money for an Alzheimer’s Charity.
