For All The Family – Armed Forces Day

Hosted by Culture Liverpool, Armed Forces Day will be preceded by a week of celebrations across the city; such as a formal flag raising on civic buildings and HMS Eaglets Annual Award ceremony on Exchange Flags.

For Armed Forces Day itself on Saturday 29 June, Liverpool City Council have arranged festivities beginning with a formal ceremony at St Nick’s church, followed by a parade to the gates of The Royal Albert Dock where military assets will be complimented with recruiting stands, performances and military demonstrations during the day from each of the services.

Armed Forces Day is a chance for the city and the country to show its support and thanks to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets. This will shine a light on military women whose impact has been felt in their community, in their home city or town, vocation or across the world.
